    December update

December 1, 2020 …  Just realized it has been a few weeks since our last update. We’re making progress, but we’re not done. Two of the three front store windows are new; doors we’re postponing for a while so we can focus on the inside. 75% of the display cases have been moved, inventory labeled, acrylic panels installed … it will be a completely touchless shopping experience when we reopen, so please be patient with us as we all get used to doing things a different way. This should not be a surprise, but we’re taking your health, and ours, very seriously. We’ll post more on this when we have…

    20201029 Construction Update

Construction! October 29, 2020 If you’re in Waukegan, you’re going to notice a lot of construction activity over the next few weeks as we prepare to reopen. Today we’re having those two gigantic safes removed. This will free up a large amount of floor space for us. We had to remove the dressing rooms to remove the safes, but do not worry … we saved the paintings that were done by Jennifer (way back in the 90’s!)  and will find a good place to display those once the remodel is done. Starting on Friday, the storefront windows are being removed, temporarily boarded up, and replaced – all new framing and…

10/19/2020 Update … kind of … on the shop!

Update 10/19/2020 We’ve received a number of messages asking for an update. Nothing has changed, but here’s some information.   We will reopen. We do not have a date yet. (“SOON!”) We will send notification well in advance to our email list, so please join it. We will also post it on our website blog. The most recent blog entry (in this case, this one!) is the most recent. Yeah, that sounds stupid as I write it, but someone said to me “the blog is not up-to-date”. It is, we just have no new news!   We are still working on redesigning the interior of the store to ensure a safe…

No More Email and Phone orders

06/27/2020 Effective immediately, we are no longer taking phone or email orders. We tried, but we’ve learned that when it comes to body jewelry, many customers do not know their sizes, and it is taking a lot longer than we thought to take orders. We cannot provide good customer service with our current process. By stopping orders we’ll be able to focus all our time on getting the inside of the store redesigned and rebuilt so we can reopen. AND WE WILL REOPEN but we don’t have a date yet. Thanks for your patience, and keep an eye on Facebook and join our email list to get updates on when…
